Nick Cave Returning to North America for 25-Date ‘Evening of Talk and Music’ in Spring
Eight years after touring with a combination of audience Q&As and solo music, Nick Cave will return to North America with “Conversations With Nick Cave: An Evening of Talk and Music,” a followup to his 2019 tour of the same name. This followup is set to run for 25 dates in the U.S. and Canada in the spring.
The shows begin April 9, 2027 at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre and wrap up May 21 at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre. In the six weeks in-between, Cave has two-night stands booked at L.A.’s Orpheum (April 20-21), Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre (May 7-8) San Francisco’s Orpheum (April 16-17), Seattle’s 5th Ave. Theatre (April 13-14), Toronto’s Massey Hall (April 29-30) and Boston’s Boch Center Schubert Theatre (May 4-5).
Single appearances are on the lineup for Portland, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Montreal, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Asheville and Atlanta, in addition to the Vancouver and New Orleans bookends. (Scroll down for the full list of appearances.)
The shows are being described as “a mixture of unvetted audience questions and intimate performances of Cave’s extensive catalog at the piano.”
Said Cave in a statement, “Years ago, in a peculiar state of mind, I traveled across the U.S., stepped onto stages in different cities, and fielded questions from the audience. It was a strange, almost desperate idea, but those nights became deeply healing for me. I hope the audience felt the same.
“Eight years have passed,” he continued. “The Red Hand Files have grown in reach and stature; the topics of conversation have broadened, and it feels like the right time to return to America, a different America from eight years ago, and bring the ‘Conversations…’ show back. I’ll have my piano with me, play some songs, and answer questions. What could possibly go wrong?”
A pre-sale begins Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. local time and runs for 24 hours; registration for access will be had here. The general on-sale will begin Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. local time.
