Nintendo Announces Indie World Showcase For October 28
Nintendo has announced a new Indie World Showcase for October 28 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. The broadcast will run about 15 minutes and, like previous streams, will focus on a wide range of games from third-party Nintendo partners. As usual, you can catch the showcase through Nintendo's official YouTube channel.
"Tune in for roughly 15 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch," Nintendo's announcement read.
Nintendo's last Indie World Showcase was held back in March 2026, and it showed off several upcoming games at the time. Many of these have already been released, including the high-energy Denshattack, a port of the underrated twin-stick shooter Minishoot' Adventures, and the shadow drop of one of 2025's best games, Blue Prince.
Short and sweet, the Indie World Showcase offers a broader look at the smaller games coming to Switch consoles. The end of the year is fast approaching, and Nintendo's 2026 holiday-season blockbuster will be a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It was heavily featured in September's The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct, alongside other Zelda-centric announcements.
