‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Star Jen Affleck Files for Divorce from Zac Affleck
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jen Affleck filed for divorce from Zac Affleck on Tuesday after seven years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by People.
The couple first met in 2018 and got engaged and married the following year. They share three children, Nora, Luca and Penelope, and are currently expecting their fourth.
The news of the couple’s split comes ahead of the premiere of Hulu’s “Secret Lives” spin-off, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,” on Nov. 12, in which Jen stars. The two relocated from Utah to Orange County in recent years.
Since the original debuted on the platform in 2024, Jen has had a major role in the series across all five seasons alongside cast members including Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Jessi Draper and more. (Paul, Matthews and Leavitt have all since left the show.)
On screen, viewers have seen a myriad of Jen and Zac’s marital issues (both financial and emotional) play out between the two. In Season 1, a now-infamous spat between the couple was documented when Jen considered attending a Chippendales show with her “MomTok” co-stars during a cast trip to Las Vegas, prompting Zac to threaten to divorce her, among other explosive claims. Jen has also been vocal about Zac’s issues regarding gambling over the show’s run.
In August, Jen told People that “there’s a lot that we’ve been navigating behind closed doors” as she navigated her fourth pregnancy. “It’s been a lot the past couple of months, I’ll be honest,” she said at the time. “But I do feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and just trying to count my blessings every single day.”
TMZ was first to report the news.
