Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Last Cowboy’ Sets Season 7 Premiere Date on CMT (EXCLUSIVE)
Taylor Sheridan‘s sports documentary series “The Last Cowboy” is riding back onto the small screen.
Season 7 of the CMT series will premiere on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. with six episodes. Episodes will be available the next day on CMT VOD, while the first six seasons are available to stream on Paramount+.
“The Last Cowboy” takes viewers inside the elite Western equine sports of reining, cutting and cow horse. The series follows the top riders as they prepare for Sheridan’s “Run for a Million” competition, which is dubbed the biggest and most prestigious event for Western equine sports.
This season, the road to the big stage runs through the “Yellowstone” creator’s own Bosque Ranch, where he’ll award the champion with $1 million, the richest prize in the sport.
Per descriptions from Paramount+, featured riders in Season 7 include:
- Andrea Fappani: Andrea is the first reiner to pass $10 million in lifetime earnings, but he’s still chasing the one title he’s never won.
- Kole Price: After years of falling just short, Kole fought his way back to the RFAM last year, and now he’s on a roll and out to win back the championship he took in 2021.
- Gabriel Borges: Gabriel has unfinished business at the RFAM after tying for 4th the last time he was in.
- Gina Schumacher: Gina came within one stop of winning it all two years ago, and she’s back for a third try as a new mom.
- Jordan Williams: Jordan is a cow horse rider who just won the World’s Greatest Horseman and he’s ready to take on the biggest stage in the sport.
- Erin Taormino: Erin, one of the most consistent riders in cow horse, is back for her fifth RFAM still looking for the win that got away since finishing reserve champion in 2024.
- And more…
“The Last Cowboy” is produced for CMT by Truly Original (a Banijay America Company), with Glenda Hersh, Steven Weinstock, Julie “Bob” Lombardi and Apryl Richards serving as executive producers. Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and David Hutkin serve as executive producers. Todd Baynes oversees the production for CMT.
