‘Reacher’ Spinoff ‘Neagley’ Renewed for Season 2 at Amazon
“Neagley” has been renewed for Season 2 at Amazon, Variety has learned.
The “Reacher” spinoff series originally debuted on Prime Video on Sept. 16, the same day as the “Reacher” Season 4 finale. Per Amazon, the first season has reached 40 million viewers in its first 13 days of availability, though Amazon does not define how they calculate viewership.
The streamer added that “Neagley” Season 1 is the number four most-viewed original series debut in Prime Video history, and has achieved 52% of its viewership internationally.
News of the “Neagley” renewal comes just days after it was reported that “Reacher” had been renewed for Season 6 while Season 5 is still in production.

Maria Sten reprises the role of Frances Neagley in the spinoff series, with Neagley having been Jack Reacher’s protege in the Army and now working as a private investigator. The logline for the debut season states, “When [Neagley] learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice.”
“Audiences around the world have embraced Frances Neagley as a force all her own,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios. “Maria Sten delivers a commanding, layered performance that drives every episode, and Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton have built a world that is both thrilling and compelling. We are excited to continue this story and explore what’s next for Neagley with our partners at Paramount Television Studios.”
Along with Sten, the cast for Season 1 included Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson appeared in a guest star role.
“Neagley” is based on the character first featured in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels. Nock Santora and Nicholas Wootton serve as writers, executive producers, and co-showrunners. Child also executive produces along with Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs, and Lisa Kussner. Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios produce. Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid, and Niko Fernandez oversee the project for Paramount Television Studios.
