Justin Wong, IFC Yipes, and Maximillian Dood Appear in New Street Fighter Movie Trailer

Some of the most famous faces in the fighting game community scored a cameo in Legendary’s upcoming Street Fighter movie, bringing the FGC hype straight to Hollywood.
If you’re part of the FGC, you probably recognized some familiar faces in the latest teaser clip from the Street Fighter movie. In the clip, Dan Dastmalchian’s cold, calculating M. Bison has seemingly thrown Andrew Koji’s Ryu into a prison, forcing him to face off against Jason Momoa’s Blanka to draw out the Wandering Warrior’s true power.
The two face off in a cage match while their fellow prisoners hoop and holler from behind chain-link fences, consumed by bloodlust… and, you guessed it, some of those prisoners are played by a few of the FGC’s finest.
We never thought we’d see the day that Justin Wong, IFC Yipes, and Maximillian Dood would be in a Hollywood movie together, but here they are, and it’s glorious. Yipes is holding a roll of toilet paper for some reason, while Maximillian Dood unleashes his classic, “Let’s gooo!” to get the fight started.
It’s a hilarious and heartwarming tribute to the community members who’ve acted as pillars in the scene since its earliest days, and it certainly puts our minds at ease to know that they’ve been involved in the movie’s production in some capacity, at least.
From Chinatown Fair to being in the Street Fighter movie with Yipes,” Wong reflected on social media. “That’s freaking crazy.”
Really, can't thank the folks at @Street_Fighter and @CapcomUSA_ more for making this happen. We we're just kids pumping quarters into a machine cause we loved it. 30+ years later, on a film set because of it. Can't wait to see the full movie. ❤️ https://t.co/ftFmntCaEX pic.twitter.com/vbSW8eWqlj

“I can't believe I can say that I was in a movie… Unreal,” Yipes said, promising to share behind-the-scenes footage at a later time.

Other notable cameos in this particular scene are popular gaming creators LazarBeam, Lachlan (who you might recognize from his Fortnite skin), Nathan Lust, and Bubbell, as well as famed Photoshop God BossLogic, who has provided his talents for the movie by creating some awesome posters that reference some of the Street Fighter games’ most iconic artwork.

The fight between Ryu and Blanka was also pretty cool, and we even got a good shot of Bison flanked by the Dolls as he stands over the makeshift arena barking orders. Momoa pulls off a classic Blanka move by electrocuting an unfortunate prisoner (and, of course, we get to see an X-Ray version of his skeleton), while Ryu busts out a Hadouken. Unfortunately, that’s all we get to witness for now, but seeing the community taking part in such a massive production is certainly a treat.
The Street Fighter Movie hits theaters on October 16, 2026. If you want more Street Fighter goodness, check out our interview with David Dastmalchian at San Diego Comic Con, where he opened up about how he brought the Shadaloo leader to life.
