‘Crystal Lake’ Hits 1.3 Billion Minutes Watched in 11 Days, Becoming Peacock’s No. 4 Scripted Debut Ever

According to Peacock, “Crystal Lake” is its fourth-most-watched scripted original series of all time.

The “Friday the 13th” prequel series was watched for 1.3 billion minutes in its first 11 days of streaming. Divided by the series’ 398-minute runtime, that comes out to a total of 3.3 million estimated views. But in terms of overall minutes watched on Peacock, it ranks behind only “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” (2022), “All Her Fault” (2025) and “The Five Star Weekend” Season 1 (2026).

Per Nielsen, “Crystal Lake” ranked as the third-most-watched streaming original series and the third-most-streamed first-season series across all of television during the week of Oct. 19.

The series also boasted strong social engagement, garnering 1.8 billion impressions in one day and more than 7.6 million video views in 11 days, as measured by Sprout Social.

“Crystal Lake” was created by Brad Caleb Kane, who also serves as showrunner. According to the official logline, the series follows “single mother Pam Voorhees (Linda Cardellini) who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason (Callum Vinson) tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: Just who is Pam Voorhees?” The cast also includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch and Phoenix Parnevik.

Executive producers of “Crystal Lake” include Kane, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee. Michael Lennox, Celine Held, Logan George and Quyen Tran serve as directors. A24 is the studio.
