Tom Corson Promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Warner Music Group

Tom Corson has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Warner Music Group, upping his role from Co-Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Warner Records.

Corson, who joined Warner Records in 2018, has been overseeing the company’s business operations, strategy and commercial development for artists spanning Madonna and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Dua Lipa and Benson Boone. He will report to WMG CEO Robert Kyncl and will continue to work alongside Warner Records co-chairman and CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck during a transition period.

Along with news of Corson’s promotion, WMG announced that CFO and COO Armin Zerza is stepping down from his role effective immediately. Zerza, who oversaw WMG’s worldwide financial operations since May 2025, is stepping back due to personal reasons and will help the company transition through the end of the year. He succeeded EVP and CFO Bryan Castellani, who departed the company after less than two years in his role.

WMG revealed that a search is already underway for Zerza’s replacement. Lou Dickler, SVP, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, will be acting CFO in the meantime.
