This Puzzling “Very Positive” Roguelite Is Now Less Than Half Price, So It’s Time To Enter The Mysterious Manor
Many of the roguelites that I play are action-oriented. So, when Blue Prince kept the familiar "‘"one more run" vibes while removing the action that I so crave, I was intrigued. Thankfully, my intrigue paid off, giving me the chance to play one of 2025’s best games. If you’re keen to give Blue Prince a try, you can now get it at a huge discount thanks to a new Fanatical sale.
You start by entering the halls of Mt. Holly, and the name alone sets the tone for something mysterious. This manor isn’t just a simple building—it’s an ever-shifting layout hidden away by the walls surrounding it. Your goal is to reach the rumored Room 46 in the hopes of earning Simon his inheritance. Apparently, his great-uncle, the duke, simply couldn’t make things… well, simple.
Each morning means a new adventure through the manor, and you, playing as Simon, need to work out the path with a fresh, blank grid in hand. Over time, your knowledge and any long-term clues are retained in your very own memory, making subsequent runs easier to manage, all in the hopes of finding the mysterious room and finally getting that well-deserved reward of a title and riches. Although I can’t imagine making a cup of coffee in the morning is easy in this house.
It’s really hard to explain how Blue Prince plays and, well, how fun it is to actually experience it, but I’ll give it a try. Each door will have you draft a room, typically with some added bonuses to help you depending on what you need, and you’ll need to solve puzzles to get through to the next. You need to make as much progress as possible before the game resets and you’re sent back to square one. Think of it like an escape room, but where the rules are constantly changing. If that sounds fun, well, Blue Prince is for you.
Right now, you can grab one of my favorite roguelites of last year at a huge 51% discount, with Blue Prince on sale for just $14.69 / £12.24 at Fanatical. That’s the lowest price it has ever been, even compared to Steam discounts, and you still get a Steam key for the game, so no extra launchers are required. That way, you can potentially lose the game in your ever-shifting backlog. That’s immersive gameplay in the best way.
Hopefully, I’ll see you in the halls of Mt. Holly soon. Although it’s unlikely—it’s a single-player game, and, well, the random room layout might make meeting quite hard.
