‘Meta Labs’ Debut at Best Buy to Offer Free Demos of Tech Giant’s Latest AI Glasses and VR Headsets

Meta is teaming up with Best Buy to offer fans of the brand and curious customers alike a chance to demo the new Meta product lineup up-close and in person.

Select Best Buy locations across the country are now offering hands-on demos of the trendy Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses, the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses and the popular Meta Quest VR headset, giving shoppers a chance to see how the products work in real-life settings. 

“Meta Lab @ Best Buy” will offer demos of all the products, bringing the AI glasses and VR headsets to life through interactive displays and activations. Customers can try on the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, for example, to read information right in front of their eyes from the lenses, and learn how to use hand gestures to swipe or tap without ever needing to take the phone out. 

VR headsets like the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S will also be available to demo, letting customers play their favorite games, try a workout or watch a movie in immersive 3D environments and stunning realism.

And of course, the popular Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses will be available to shop, with product specialists helping customers find a pair of frames to fit their face shape, personality and style. Meta sales specialists will also demo some of the new features of the smartglasses, which now go beyond just video recording to also provide improved music listening capabilities and live translation, among other features.

The first Meta Lab @ Best Buy “store in store” opened in June, with more rolling out throughout the summer. Meta says the experience will be available in more than 50 Best Buy locations across the US and Canada by the end of the year. See a full list of participation locations here.
