In a title fight, Queensberry Promotions sets up in England for a prime re-match between two elite boxers. In the main event, English boxer Daniel Dubois defends his WBO heavyweight title belts against English fighter Fabio Wardley. It’s a scheduled for 12 rounds.
On Saturday, Oct. 17, Dubois (23-3-0) vs. Wardley (20-1-1) takes place at The O2 Arena in London, England with a start time of 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT. Ringwalk for the main event is expected around 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT.
With Daniel Dubois competing against Fabio Wardley in a re-match in London, it’s likely the boxing event may feature a few of celebrities in attendance. Including fans who attended past fights, like Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Idris Elba, Maya Jama, Emma Bunton, Noel Gallagher and others.
And for the main event, this is a re-match between the two fighters. Dubois and Wardley battled each other in the ring this past May with Dubois winning the bout in the 11th round with a TKO. This is when Dubois became WBO heavyweight champion.
For the re-match this weekend, Dubois is the heavy favorite to retain the title. However, Wardley is a well-rounded boxer too, so it’s likely the fight will go the distance. Wardley is looking for some payback for losing the first matchup, so it could be extra motivation for an upset.
