Social media is erupting over a viral video of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson showing off his dance moves, with the clip quickly spreading across X as users call the performance "embarrassing."
The clip, circulating on X this week, shows Johnson dancing to "Hideaway" by Kiesza, dancing alongside a group on a rooftop, prompting conservative commentators to call out the mayor for seemingly neglecting the city’s crime problem.
Johnson’s campaign confirmed to Fox News Digital that he participated in the video but did not provide details about when it was filmed. The video circulated on X over the same weekend that Johnson announced Sunday that he would seek a second term.

"Chicago does not need another influencer with a title," wrote popular X account True Patriot Voice.
"23% approval rating. 40 people shot per week. Thugs doing ‘street takeovers’ every week. Businesses fleeing," said conservative commentator Benny Johnson.
"Pathetic," said New York Post contributor Miranda Devine.

"Keep voting failures in Chicagoans," said Kaltbaum Capital president Gary Kaltbaum.
